What do you need to get married in Sorrento for a civil ceremony?
Permit released by embassy or consulate from country of residence (art. 116 civil code)
Birth certificate
Copy of valid passport
2 witnesses
Interpreter
It is necessary that the Bride and Groom be in Sorrento at least 3 days before the ceremony.
(A formal declaration of the couple’s intention of marrying must be made at Sorrento’s City Hall and subsequently publicly posted for 3 days prior to the ceremony taking place).
